Llama Rental
(price includes everything for the llamas: panniers, saddles, lead ropes, stake out equipment, water bucket, scale, llama first aid kit, llama feed if necessary etc.)
* $120/llama/Day Minimum lease 2 llamas for 3 days
*50% deposit due at time of reservation (non-refundable)
*$2.00 per mile for special arrangement drop offs or transfers
(CANNOT DELIVER TO FOREST SERVICE TRAILHEADS)
*Balance of rental due 7 days prior to departure date
*First time renters must take orientation class anytime before your adventure. This is a one time class all new renters must take regardless of llama experience. Online or In person
(please inquire for a schedule and time to take orientation)
*Must read, agree to, and sign liability waiver
*Must read, agree to, and sign rental agreement
*Any alterations to time frame, number of llamas, trailer rental, cancellations must be discussed with Happy Homestead Llamas 14 days in advance

Trailer Rental

Double Axle
Bumper Pull $75/day Can be hauled by a 1/2 ton truck (etc. Chevy 1500) or large SUV (5,000lb tow rating) with towing package installed. ( 4-6 Llamas ) 2" ball 7-pin connector |
Single Axle
Bumper Pull $50/day Can be hauled by a mid-size SUV, light duty truck, other like vehicles with installed towing package and wiring. ( 2-3 Llamas ) 2" ball Flat Pin Connector (Adapter to 7-pin can be supplied) |
Pack Llama Orientation
(one time only if first time renting)
The orientation includes all the necessary components you'll need for a successful pack trip including: catching your llamas, haltering, leading, saddling, weighing panniers, donning panniers onto the saddle, staking llamas out, trailer loading/unloading, feed requirements, water requirements, llama kisses, trail etiquette and much more. We have two options to choose from. Can be taken day of rental but please plan accordingly.
**We highly recommend scheduling in advance
One time rate fee:
$65/person - Online Orientation Clinic (6 hours)
(must attend a competency test before taking any llamas out)
$75/person - In person Orientation
(If someone other than yourself is taking the orientation course that person will also need to sign the rental lease agreement and will be solely responsible for the safety of the llamas and return all rental gear in good working condition.)
