About us
We are backpackers, hunters, modern homesteaders and adventurers. Throughout the years we concluded that, as we age, a heavy weight on our backs is not something that we could continue to do for life. As we adventured with our kids we decided we needed an animal to carry the load. Llamas were the answer to our situation. The more we investigated llamas the more we found the many varieties of llama that are out there, but soon realized the Ccara llama was the variety of llama that was bred to handle this burden. They offer sure footing, could carry the load, easy to handle, kid friendly, calm and curious easy on trails, doesn't require the maintenance other equine animals do in the wilderness. After lots of conversations and research we purchased our first herd of llamas which gave birth to our Happy Homestead.
Happy Homestead Llamas centrally located to your next adventure whether that be the John Muir Trail, Pacific Crest Trail or Emigrant Wilderness to the south east, or the majestic Trinity Alps Wilderness and Marble Mountain Wilderness to the north. All are just a few hours away. |
